Affirmations of the Class of April 19, 2014 (AngelHeal Yoga Training Class #1) or the "One Love" class:
Next comes asana clinics and an anatomy clinic of this week's series of poses (lunges). By week's end, the trainees are able to teach the first half-hour or so of the hot yoga sequence. Weeks three and four add the hip-opening and shoulder-opening series of asana to the mix. In the third week of training, a fire ceremony is held to release the old things that no longer serve us, and to be open to the new blessings to come in their place. Class discussion revolves around the three worlds of God and how creation comes into being: the causal or mental world, the mind of God, is the source of all. The thought-forms of this world vibrate the energy or prana world, and eventually matter is formed around the idea and energy to become physical creation. Knowing this, the healing techniques come into sharp focus: energy follows our intention. The class also practices a yoga nidra (sleep) technique whereby the body falls asleep while you remain conscious and aware.
Week 3 ends with a discussion about yogic powers and invoking angels, and the trainees go into the sweat room to take turns teaching the poses learned to date.
This week the trainee's complete their study of the hip-opening and shoulder-opening poses, including instruction on how to conduct a "warm and gentle" class. The class joins the Saturday 3pm warm and gentle class at Cloud9 and four select trainees teach the live yoga class under the supervision of the Lead Trainers, followed by a constructive criticism session.
