Brhíannon Winton (E-RYT-200, RYT-500) is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (Yoga Alliance) and one of the Lead Trainers. She was certified in the Sacred Hot Yoga Method (RYS-200) in August, 2011, in the Grassroots Yoga Teacher Training (RYS-500), and is a Nia white belt. Bri has over 2,500 hours of yoga teaching experience in the past couple of years. Bri teaches how to demonstrate love and joy through the simplicities of movement. She has also been initiated into Kriya Yoga (level one) through the Kriya Yoga Institute but she does not teach Kriya.
Bri currently teaches private classes and at several studios in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bri teaches multiple types of classes including: kids yoga, warm and gentle, yin, vinyasa and hot yoga. She has formerly been one of the instructors for the Sacred Hot Yoga Method Teacher Training.
"My purpose with the Angelic Activation Yoga Training is to teach people how to love and to heal through movement and stillness, to bring balance back to the world, and to help people find their individuality and to have confidence in their own uniqueness," Bri said.
Bri said that anyone who wants to deepen his or her own practice in yoga, or to learn how to teach it to others, will benefit from the training.
Katie Lynn Schermerhorn is an experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, and has been practicing and teaching yoga for many years. In the Spring of 2011 she graduated from the first class of the Sacred Hot Yoga Method yoga teacher training. She has been teaching at a number of hot yoga studios in the Albuqueruque, NM area and Colorado Springs, Colorado. For a couple of years prior to that, she taught for the Sacred Hot Yoga Method teacher training.
"From my practice of yoga I gained the sense of feeling comfortable in my body, but also an expanded awareness beyond the limitations of body and mind," Katie said.
Her virtually flawless practice and her commitment to it informs Katie's ability to teach yoga. It is her passion to share yoga practice and its healing benefits with others that motivates her: "I want to help athletes and others whose bodies need more flexibility and mobility and who would benefit from breathing and meditation techniques so they can get control of the energy produced by their activity."
Jeffrey A. Goldberg is certified in level one of Ananda Yoga for Higher Awareness and has several thousands of hours of teaching experience. He primarily teaches sādhanā (yoga spiritual practices including prayer/affirmation, chanting, visualization, pranayama, yoga meditation, samyama, and energy healing work), yoga philosophy, yoga lifestyle and ethics. From March, 2011 through December, 2013, Jeffrey taught the angelic healer course, which had been a portion of the Sacred Hot Yoga Method yoga teacher training.
Jeffrey has spent many years learning Paramhansa Yogananda's meditation, healing, and pranayama techniques from both the Self-Realization Fellowship and the Ananda Church of Self-Realization and studied Reiki energy healing and Yogananda's healing methods. Jeffrey used these methods to heal himself and he now wishes to share this knowledge. He was initiated to Kriya Yoga (level one) through the Kriya Yoga Institute.
"I teach asana as meditation in motion. Yoga practice and it's benefits are far deeper than just the physical postures," Jeffrey said. "I try to help the trainees get in touch with their divine Selves, first by teaching ways of proper breathing and how to sit comfortably without restlessness, and then by becoming aware of the mental and subtle energy flows eventually bringing them under conscious control and using these energies for intuitive guidance and for healing yourself and others."
As for angels, Jeffrey says angelic force is misunderstood. Under the yoga teachings, they are simply the personification of the Names of God, such as God's qualities of Love, Peace, Harmony, Healing, Strength, and Truth. Jeffrey: "The active prayer and meditation techniques of yoga can be used by anyone to assimilate divine qualities into his or her life."
Kelsey Adams began her practice during her junior year of high school and instantly became passionate about yoga and its benefits. “Yoga allows me to express and release my emotions to heal my heart and my body. It is a physical expression of my connection to God and angels. Yoga provides an outlet where I speak my deepest truths to the universe,” Kelsey said. “I am passionate about sharing yoga with others,” she added.
This passion for the healing that yoga provides led Kelsey to begin her career as a yoga teacher in 2012, after graduating from Sacred Hot Yoga Method. Since then, she has combined her love of music and her never-ending pursuit of fun, into high energy inspirational classes geared towards all levels. Her classes tend to be more vinyasa-based, combining movement with breath all the while providing a healing, kind, and loving space for students.
What Kelsey enjoys most instructing AngelHeal Yoga trainees is to see each one grow in his or her own unique way: “I allow myself to be vulnerable when I teach. I open my heart to what the class is feeling.” Kelsey views yoga as more than a workout, but a transformative tool that links body, mind and soul.
Sue Hurll-Bastian (RYT-200) is a graduate of Sacred Hot Yoga Method. She has been a guest instructor for that training from March, 2011 through December, 2013. She now brings her musical and spiritual gifts to AngelHeal.
Sue has been involved in Christian healing, music and sports since early childhood. In her formal education, she first focused on music, gaining a Master’s Degree in Opera from the Opernschule Hannover in Germany and working with her theologian husband in ministry for the last 30 years. Prophesy, healing, and working with spiritual gifts were like a native tongue for Sue when she came to hot yoga. Sue now teaches Christo-centric spiritual healing through singing with each group of trainees. Sue loves to laugh and also does stand-up comedy for Christian gatherings.
